What if Vincent van Gogh were a cat dad?

Like two gingers, we always found so many things in common

Vincent van Gogh, Self-Portrait with Grey Felt Hat and Ginger Cat, detail
To celebrate our friendship, the great master included us in the true version of his 1887 Paris portrait. To say sincerely, We, as a large, magnificent beast, were not fond of sitting calmly inside Vincent’s jacket, which was too small for Our generous body.
That is the explanation of the red strokes in the halo around Our heads: it was Our fur that flew in the air while the painter tried to persuade Us to strike a pose.
Anyway, Our shrimpy fee for sitting was delicious, and we both had a lot of fun
Just compare the true version of the portrait with the commonly known one in the collection of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam:

If Vincent were a cat dad, he would not be that lonely, like in the commonly known version! So, it’s evident which version is true.
Thus speaks Zarathustra the Cat
